Weighbridge/Administrator - Ellesmere Port

We require a full time administrator with weighbridge duties, reporting to the logistics manager, at Ellesmere Port.

The Role

  • Booking in raw materials and oversize.
  • Populating on-site and inter-site logs (including spreadsheets)
  • Inputting into AS400
  • Managing purchase orders and invoices.
  • Directing traffic to appropriate areas on-site
  • Updating production records where necessary
  • Ensuring scorecards and KPIs are up to date
  • Ensuring weighbridge register is up to date
  • Ensuring financial department requirements are met
  • Standing in for other administrators on-site
  • Inputting into AS400 where required and issue relevant reports

There will be a three month probationary period for this role.

Maintenance Fitter - Lincoln

We are recruiting for a maintenance fitter. the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and undertaking servicing of the manufacturing facility and its equipment at the Lincoln plant, although working at other sites may be required.

Equipment to be maintained includes:

Storage hoppers, conveyor systems including belt and roller type, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, motor/gearbox assemblies, extraction systems (LEVs), automated bagging and packaging equipment, industrial vehicles including loading shovels.

the candidate will also be responsible for assisting the maintenance manager in the implementation of a full preventative maintenance programme, as well as supporting in the completion of engineering projects and facility improvements.

Essential skills/knowledge:

  • NVQ level 3 apprenticeship in a mechanical engineering discipline
  • Pneumatic/hydraulic experience
  • For lift truck licence - internal training will be provided
  • Experience working within PPM/TPM systems
  • Fabrication/welding experience
  • Knowledge and experience of automated bagging and packaging machinery
  • Knowledge and experience of conveyor systems
  • Ability to read engineering and technical drawings
  • Proficient wit relevant health and safety regulations (including PUWER, LOLER, Abrasives wheels, working at height, permits to work)
  • Must be proactive and able to work as part of a team or unsupervised
  • Experience of working in a fast faced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to undertake root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Undertake routine maintenance and complete maintenance records - including part requests
  • Undertaking and assisting with risk assessments

Desirable knowledge:

  • Understand of electrical systems and basic fault finding
  • Knowledge of PLC systems
  • Safety qualifications - IOSH, NEBOSH or similar
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft office programmes
  • FMCG experience

Maintenance Electrician - Lincoln

We have a vacancy for a full time position of maintenance electrician in Lincoln.

Duties include, but a re not restricted to:

1. Large and small scale projects (led by the engineering manager)

  • Hands-on activities for machine installation, commissioning and setting up machines.

2. Maintenance

  • Planned and breakdown machine maintenance.
  • Root cause analysis with regard to breakdowns to prevent recurrence.
  • Order spare and control stocks.
  • General property maintenance.

3. Value engineering/cost saving

  • Continuous improvement activities including productivity and quality
  • Energy, water and gas saving initiatives.

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Schedule periodic inspections/PAT/fire alarm testing, etc.
  • Risk assessments and method statements instilled in every aspect of duties.
  • General improvement to make the site a safer place.

The Candidate

Applicants should have:

  • Engineering HND or be a qualified electrician/filler, 17th Edition Electrical
  • Hands-on approach, ideally with FLT, lading shovel and MEWP licences
  • Ideally possess a NEBOSH qualification.
  • An innovative approach and ability to identify cost savings and eliminate waste.

Appropriate training will be provided depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience and the business needs.

The salary will be dependant on experience and qualification. Extra hours, periods of 24 hours on call and attending emergency breakdowns may be required.

Mixing Plant Charge Hand - Lincoln

We have a vacancy for a full time mixing plant charge hand in Lincoln.

The post holder is a member of the production staff and reports to the production supervisor or a more senior member of the production management team.

The post holder is responsible for supervision of production team member, including agency staff. This may include the provision of guidance, basic training and communicating best practice.

Main Duties

  • You will supervise production rates, standardised working, process improvement and co-ordinate production team members.
  • You will have authority over production team members for the responsibilities outlined above, however overall responsibility for the team including yourself lies with the production supervisor.
  • You will report directly to the production supervisor who will address any administration issues (including disciplinary affairs) for the production team members.

Your core duties are to co-ordinate the production team:

  • Standardised working to ensure productivity, quality, health and safety and environmental matters.
  • Job rotation for the team members and training/coaching where appropriate.
  • Ensure accurate stock takes and material control,
  • Ensure accuracy of data capture and recording/reporting.
  • You will be a member of the management team, as such your behaviour should reflect your position.
