Dead-head winter-flowering pansies and violas.
Raise terracotta pots onto special pot feet. This will improve drainage and make it less likely the compost will freeze solid and crack the pot.
For instant colour, fill pots with J Arthur Bower’s or New Horizon Multi-Purpose Compost and plant with small evergreens, bulbs in bud and winter bedding.
