Clay soil is fertile but heavy and slow-draining meaning it is sticky in winter and can bake hard in summer. Extra Care for Clay Soils has added coir, organic matter and grit sand to open up the soil and extra magnesium and lime to counteract soil deficiencies. Sandy soil is light and free-draining but low in nutrients and can dry out quickly. Extra Care for Sandy Soils is loam-based with added organic matter to improve soil texture and water retention. It also has extra nutrients to help build up nutrient reserves. |
