William Sinclair is listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market. The company's head office and research capability are based in Lincoln and the company has over 400 employees across its network of UK sites.

William Sinclair's reputation is built on quality and trust and our responsibility to care for the environment is at the heart of what we do. Established in 1850, the company now supplies approximately 1 million cubic metres of growing media and a range of horticultural products to both the retail and the professional grower markets.

William Sinclair remains at the forefront of technological development and is proud to have launched the industry's most advanced peat alternative, Super Fyba. Made from a 100% recycled organic material our ground-breaking growing media is environmentally sustainable and performs similarly to peat with outstanding water retention qualities, a low nutrient level, is nitrogen stable, lightweight and even looks much like peat.  It has recently won the prestigious Innovation in Organics Recycling award for the UK's biowaste management sector, organised by the Assoicaiton of Organics Ryclcing (AfOR)

William Sinclair is actively working with the government to help the horticultural industry meet the UK's 2020 peat free target, and the company is committed to accelerating the rate of use of peat alternatives as well as demanding better quality standards for green composts and other peat free products.
